Clint Bondarenko of Peoria, Arizona, formerly of Akron, Michigan, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Banner Boswell Hospital in Sun City, Arizona. Clint was born April 14, 1934 in Akron, the son of the late Fred and Lena Bondarenko. He served in the U.S. Army and then worked twenty years as a successful farmer. Clint was the mayor of Akron, Rotary president, and member of the Akron United Methodist Church. He founded, owned and operated Clint's Foodland in Akron, Michigan. He enjoyed square dancing, golf, horseshoes, cards, and interacting with people. Clint is survived by his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Jaclyn Bondarenko; two sons and their wives, Richard & Cristina Bondarenko of Broomfield, Colorado, Brian & Nancy Bondarenko of Scottsdale, Arizona; four grandchildren, Lauren, Alec, Mitchell (Bobbi), and Matthew (Misty) Bondarenko; siblings, Mary Curfman, Paul, and Don (Nena) Bondarenko; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Clint was preceded in death by his siblings, Vera, Jack, Alex, Prince, John, and Henry Bondarenko. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service is being planned at the Demorest Cemetery in Akron, Michigan.
