Cody Maciag

Cody Maciag, age 18 years, of Caro, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 2, 2007. He was born on April 27, 1988 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of James Maciag and Melody Mc Coon Maciag. He came to Caro as an infant and attended Caro High School. Most recently he worked as a handyman. Cody enjoyed trout fishing and occasionally deer hunting. His appearance was important and he enjoyed being clean cut. He was a previous member of the American Motorcycle Association and for a time he raced quads. He is survived by his mother, Melody Maciag; his father, James “Butch” Maciag , each of Caro; two brothers and one sister, Jesse Maciag of Caro, Tony (Jodi) Maciag of Pinconning, and Shelley (Ken) Bailey of Darnestown Maryland; several nieces and nephews; his grandparents, Dale and Ilene McCoon of Cass City and Frances McCoon of Caro; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walt Maciag and Noreen Maciag. The funeral service will be held at Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Cremation will follow the service with burial of the cremated remains in the Memorial Garden at the Caro United Methodist Church. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross.
