Connie Lee Champagne

Connie Lee Champagne of Deford, age 76, passed away at her home on Friday, April 7, 2017, surrounded by family, after a short illness. Connie was born September 15, 1940 in Cass City, the daughter of the late Joe & Marie (Lorentzen) Tesho. Connie Tesho was united in marriage with the late Linus Champagne in Cass City on February 19, 1955, and later moved to the Wilmot area before settling in the rural Deford area. She loved God with all of her heart. She was a mighty prayer warrior for her family and many others. Connie loved her cats, gardening, especially roses, antiquing, refinishing furniture, providing Pecan Sandies to the grand- and great-grandchildren, and recently acquired a love of strawberry short cake and orange sherbet shakes. Connie is survived by one daughter, Sherrie Dibble and her husband, Randy, of Deford; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gary Tesho and his wife, Sharon. In addition to her parents and husband, Connie was preceded in death by one daughter, Dawn Champagne; a grandson, Jeffery Randall; one sister and one brother. In keeping with Connie's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family gathering and burial will take place at a later date.
