Corey Evan Lawson

Corey Evan Lawson, 35, of Lee Summit, Missouri, formerly of Elkton, died June 7, 2018 in Harrisonville, Missouri.

Corey was born August 22, 1982 in Bad Axe to William and Darlene (Lamke) Lawson.  He graduated from EPBP Laker High School.  He worked as an EMT for Croswell Ambulance and as a truck driver.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #6819, Our Lady of Presentation Council in Lee Summit, MO.  He was a proud father.  He loved and missed his grandparents Andrew and Joan (Soper) Lawson.

He is survived by his wife Nichole of Lee Summit; daughter Kayla of Bay City; mother Darlene (Michael) Rumptz of Argyle; father Bill (Mary) Lawson of Freeland; brother Ben (Robyn) Lawson of Kimball; step-sister Marguerite Mears of Shelby Twp; step-brother David Mears of Florida; and nephews Mykah and Lukah.

Private graveside services will be 1:00pm Friday, June 29 ^th at Chandler Twp Cemetery where he will be buried with his grandparents.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling local arrangements.  Memorials may be made to the family.
