Craig A. Zajac

Craig A. Zajac of Caro, age 59, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at his residence with his family and friends at his side. He was born on May 1, 1954 in Detroit to the late Bernard and June (Bushaw) Zajac. Craig came to Kingston as a teenager and graduated from Kingston High School with the class of 1972. Later in life, he enrolled and graduated from the National Academy of Mortuary Science as a Certified Mortuary Technician. He went on to be an over the road truck driver. On June 16, 1979, Craig was united in marriage with the former Dolores Holder at the Caro Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, riding motorcycles and tinkering with motors of all sorts. He was a longtime member of A.B.A.T.E. of Michigan Region #7. He is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Dolores; three children, Andera Irwin of Iron Mountain, Erin (Steve) Jerore of Caro, Tracey Zajac of Caro; four grandchildren, Noah, Rachael, Isabella, and Tyler; one brother, Glenn (Norma) Zajac of Chesterfield; his step-brother and sisters; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday June 18, 2013 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with the Reverends Brad Pettit, Bill Hendrick, and Dennis Hartman, officiating.
