Curtis James Baur

Curtis James Baur, age 71, of Sebewaing, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014.

Curt was born February 12, 1942 to the late Rudolph and Elsie (Neuman) Baur. On November 24, 1989 he married Patricia (Simons). He worked as a mill right at General Motors for several years. Curt enjoyed building with wood, fishing, watching the Detroit Red Wings and U of M basketball. He was a member at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Curt is survived by his wife, Patricia; children: Teresa (friend Jeff Dhont), Dawn (Greg) Miller and Laurie Baur; grandchildren: Latricia, Leslie and Mitchell; great grandson, Jayden; sister-in-law, Ellen Baur; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Paul LaPorte; and brother, Gerald Baur.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 12noon.
