Cynthia "Cindy" Bublitz

Cynthia “Cindy” Bublitz of Fairgrove, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Covenant Health Care - Cooper in Saginaw. Cindy was born April 5, 1948, the adopted daughter of the late Ellis & Alietta (Meyer) Aldrich, and spent nearly her entire life as a resident of Fairgrove. She graduated from Akron-Fairgrove High School with the class of 1966 and joined the Peace Corps shortly after, serving in Chicago. Cindy worked for several years as an aide at the Caro Regional Center while also attending Delta College, Saginaw Valley State University, and graduating with honors from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a Master of Social Work degree. Her passion and occupation centered on mental health, with a career in both the public and private sector, most recently at Tuscola Behavioral Heath and Catholic Family Services. She also served as an emergency medical technician for many years with the Huston Ambulance Service in Caro. Cindy was a devoted social worker, but her favorite job was being a grandma. A breast cancer survivor, she was active with Relay for Life on Team Boosum Buddies. She leaves behind treasures from her time spent quilting, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She also leaves behind three lifetime supplies of thread, yarn, and fabric. At times sarcastic and private, she was also constantly selfless and kind. Her loss will be felt by family, friends, and clients alike. Cindy is survived by one daughter, Amy Jo Marshall of Fairgrove; granddaughter, Meagan Leigh Marshall and her fianc, Hunter Seeger of Fairgrove; one brother and his wife, Charles Alan & Marilyn Aldrich of Sandusky; many nieces and nephews; quilting companion, Lynne Seeger; and beloved dog, Ellie. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the Brookside Cemetery in Fairgrove.
