D. Lawrence Mcmormick

D. Lawrence McCormick, age 77, of Pinnebog died Sunday afternoon, August 5, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Saginaw.
He was born July 10, 1930, at the home of his parents, the late Patrick and Lena (Musselman) McCormick in Meade Twp. Larry worked on the family farm all his life. He had also been employed as a mechanic at Fannery's in Bad Axe for 17 years, and at Goebel's and McCormick Motors for a time before opening his own business, Larry's Transmission Service in Pinnebog, retiring in 1992. After retiring he continued to farm and help the area farmers until his health wouldn't allow it. Larry had a "Green Thumb" always having an outstanding garden, sometimes keeping his tomatoes producing through December.
He was a member of St. Felix Catholic Church and Usher's Club, Pinnebog and enjoyed deer hunting and fishing on Saginaw Bay in the summer.

Surviving are four sons, Dave (Sue) McCormick of Cass City, Mark (Cindy) McCormick of Byron, Gary (Sue) McCormick of Caseville and Tim (Dena) McCormick of Pinnebog; eleven grandchildren; his brother, Steve (Jean) McCormick of San Antonia, TX and his sister, Dora (Leroy) Tomlinson of Kinde.
Preceding him in death was a grandson, Patrick; two brothers, Bernard and Frank McCormick and three sisters, Patricia Murray, Mary McIntosh and Betty Pomponio.
A funeral mass will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, at St. Felix Catholic Church, Pinnebog. Rev. Fr. Kenneth Yaroch, pastor will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral chapel, Elkton from 2 to 9 PM on Wednesday and at the church after 10 AM Thursday.
Memorials may be given to the family or St. Felix Cemetery Fund.
