Daisey Ella Mitchell, affectionately known as "Miss Daisey," passed away on August 24, 2025, in Bay City, Michigan, at the age of 60. Born on May 14, 1965, in Dearborn, Michigan, she brought warmth and joy to those around her throughout her life.
A proud graduate of Lee M. Thurston High School's Class of 1984, Daisey carried with her a strong sense of community and compassion that touched everyone she encountered. Her generous spirit and open heart made her a beloved presence in the lives of many.
Daisey found immense joy in spending time with friends and family. Whether it was gathering for a cozy bonfire, enjoying a lively game night, sharing laughter over dinner, taking spontaneous shopping trips, or trying her luck at the casino, she cherished every moment spent with those she loved. Her presence lit up every room she entered, and her ability to make others feel welcomed and valued was unmatched.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Melissa (Lily) Trader, Tanya Trader, and Kristi (James) Stoffel; her siblings Charles Mitchell, Deborah Mitchell, and Carol (Don) Lamb; her nephews Christopher, Ryan, and Matthew; and her niece Jessica. Daisey was preceded in death by her father Robert Mitchell and mother Ella Mitchell.
Daisey's legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel like family-whether they were or not-and leaves behind countless memories filled with laughter and love.
In accordance with Daisey’s wishes, cremation is to take place, with a memorial service honoring her life to be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Champagne Funeral Chapel, 7356 W. Michigan Ave. Pigeon, MI. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 10:00am until the time of service.
