Daisy May Barber

Daisy May Barber of Caro, age 85, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Timberline Lodge in Caro. Daisy was born October 5, 1931 in Cass City, the daughter of the late Bry and Cora (Wright) Caswell. She was united in marriage with Harley Barber on April 23, 1957 in Gary, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on September 27, 2016. She worked in Kalamzaoo and then at the Caro Center as an attendant nurse. Daisy loved crocheting, cooking, baking and flower gardening. Daisy is survived by her children, Lynn Kridler of Caro, Joyce Donath of Mayville, Gary Barber and his wife, Louise, of Cass City, Robert Barber and his wife, Kimm, of Akron; Harley's daughter, Ellen Pate of Florida; brother, James Caswell of Reese; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Mr. Russ Tibbits officiating. Burial will follow at the Almer Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to Compassus Hospice.
