Dale Robert Behm

Dale Robert Behm, age 76, of Sebewaing, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, with his family at his side.

Dale was born on January 27, 1947, in Pigeon, the youngest son of the late Oscar and Eleanor (Weidman) Behm. He was a 1965 graduate of Laker High School. He married Donna Jean Spriggs on April 20, 1968. He worked as a die setter at Pigeon Manufacturing and then at Astech (Vassar) until he retired in 2009. He was a member of New Salem Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. He enjoyed working on his lawn mower collection. He was known for wearing derby hats and always working outside in his garage with his numerous treasures. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Donna; two sons: Robert Dale Behm of Sebewaing and Jeffrey Scott Behm (Jeffrey Newton) of Bay City; his brothers: Paul (Mick) Behm, William Behm, George (Florence) Behm, Clare Behm, Ross (Debbie) Behm; brother-in-law, Dell (Melinda) Bedford; sisters-in-law: Sandra Spriggs, Valerie LaDrigue and Kim Bedford; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his father-in-law, James S. Spriggs; mothers-in-law, Ruth Spriggs and Dorothy Spriggs; sisters-in-law, Anita Behm and Barbara Behm; brothers-in-law: Ronald Spriggs, William Spriggs, Richard Spriggs, James (Jimmy) Spriggs, Gerald Bedford and Donald LaDrigue.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Paul Scaddan and Vicky Warren from Season's Change Hospice for their care and support.

In keeping with Dale's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, July 17, 2023, at New Salem Lutheran Church, 222 E. Grove St., Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am with a lunch to follow.
