Dale F. Faist, aged 88, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in the presence of his family.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years Lorraine (Furness), son Dennis (Patti) Faist, daughter Denise (Rod) Adams; four grandchildren, James (Stephanie) Faist, Julia Faist, Stephanie Adams, and Ryan (Kori) Adams and (four) great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Theryn, Koltyn, and Easton; one brother, Glenn (Arlene) Faist, and one sister Elaine (Richard) Meyers.

Dale was born in Bad Axe, Michigan, the son of Ira and Lila (Wurtz) Faist, and graduated from Elkton High School in 1944. He spent the next twenty-seven years in Agri- Sales with Wallace and Morley Co., Elkton, MI. His last twelve years of employment were with Active Industries/Tower as Cost Accounting Supervisor, retiring in December 1981. Upon retirement Dale became a self-taught, proficient craftsman with stained glass. Many families and friends throughout Michigan and Arizona enjoy the beautiful windows, chandeliers, and other works of stained glass art designed and created by him. Dale was an avid boater and enjoyed traveling on the Great Lakes and Canadian waters. He was a charter member of the Elkton Lions Club and Past President of the Elkton Rotary Club.

Dale & Lorraine built and lived in their Elkton home until 1986 when they moved to Mesa, Arizona, where they spent the next twenty-three years. During these years, they traveled extensively across the United States and Canada in their motor home, spending part of the summer months in Michigan with family and friends. Dale was a member of the 90 Voice Leisure World Mixed Chorus, Leisure World Lions Club and Leisure Rovers Travel Club. They returned to Michigan in October 2009, making Cook Valley Estates in Grand Rapids their home.

Dale was a dedicated member of the Elkton United Methodist Church, Red Mountain United Methodist Church in Mesa, Arizona, and Mayflower Congregational Church, Grand Rapids; a loving husband, a supportive father and grandfather, and always a caring friend.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, January 8, 11:00 AM, at the Mayflower Congregational Church, 2345 Robinson Road SE, Grand Rapids.
