Dale A. Hartman, age 48, of Unionville, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at his home with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dale was born June 29, 1968, in Cass City, to the late Clarence and Cora (Scharf) Hartman. He is a 1987 graduate of Unionville-Sebewaing Area High School. He then attended Northwestern College in Lima, Ohio, and received his degree in Auto-Diesel Mechanics. He came back to Unionville and was employed at D & J Garage where he worked as a mechanic for over 25 years. Dale loved the community that he lived in and volunteered for the Unionville Fire Department and ACW Ambulance for over 25 years. Dale truly touched the lives of many people. In his spare time, Dale enjoyed spending time with his daughter, golfing, being outdoors, and being with his family. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Unionville.
Left to cherish Dale's memory are his loving daughter, Dakota Hartman, his twin brother, Dean (Dawn) Hartman, brothers: Dennis (Midge) Hartman, Darrin (special friend Lindsay Reese) Hartman, Duane (Chastity) Hartman, Darrick (Bree) Hartman; several nieces and nephews; and special cousins, including: Scott (Dawn) Hartman; and special friends, including, Kathi Carson.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Cora Hartman, and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be Friday, August 26, 2016, at Juengel and Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 3-9pm.
The funeral service will be Saturday, August 27, 2016, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Unionville, with Rev. Stolarczyk officiating.
Burial will be at Columbia Township Cemetery.
