Dale Glen Kimmel, age 77, of Caro, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital in Saginaw. He was born on April 6, 1933 in Caro to the late Glenn and Gertrude (Green) Kimmel. Dale was a lifelong resident of Caro and a 1951 graduate of Caro High School. After graduation he enlisted in the US. Navy as a Radio Technician and served aboard several aircraft carriers during the Korean War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, and United Nations Service Medal. He attended Central Michigan University and worked in retail sales and management for a number of years. He married the former Glenda Luscia on October 9, 1971 in Saginaw. Most recently, he was employed as a resident care aide supervisor at the Caro Regional Center until his retirement in 1990. He worked part-time as an EMT with Collon Ambulance Service and as an orderly at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. Dale was involved in many organizations: the Caro Moose Lodge #1049 where he served as a trustee and treasurer, life member of the Caro V.F.W. Post #4164 where he served as Commander for one year and as Quartermaster for approximately 10 years, a member of the Theron W. Atwood Sr. American Legion Post #7, Vassar Eagles Aerie #2380, and a life member of the DAV in Bradenton, Florida. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Glenda; two children, Scott (Patti) Kimmel of Springfield, IL, Kristine (Kirk) Haines of Gladwin; two step-children, Caryl (Jim) Langmaid of Caro, William (Jenny) Sweatland of Little Rock, AK; eight grandchildren, Tammy Sweatland, Jamie Langmaid, Christopher Sweatland all of Caro, Andrew Korf of Billings, MT, Krystine Langmaid of Caro, Gretchen Kimmel and fianc
