Dale E. Shetler, 90, of Pigeon passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at his home.
Dale was born April 12, 1931 in Pigeon to the late Joseph and Emma (Albrecht) Shetler. He graduated in 1949 from Pigeon High School. He married Winona “Nonie” Schrock on September 5, 1953 at Comins Mennonite Church.
Dale retired from Pigeon Motor Sales as an auto-mechanic, having worked there since high school. He was a member of Michigan Men’s Community Chorus. He enjoyed bowling, playing horseshoes, snowmobiling, cars and Southern Gospel music. He loved his family and being grandpa and great-grandpa.
Dale is survived by his wife Nonie; children Terry (Joanne) of Pigeon, Brenda (David) Foncannon of Pueblo, Colorado and Teresa (Terry) Swartzendruber of Bay Port; grandchildren Brandon, Jason, Michael, Jared, Joshua and Kerri; and great-grandchildren Cierra, Everly, Sophie, Grayson, Leona, and Eleanor. He was preceded in death by his sister Jenny McIlhargie.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, January 21st at Michigan Ave. Mennonite Church with Rev. Scot Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Grand Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 Thursday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel.
