Daniel R Baranski age 70 of Oliver Twp near Owendale died Thursday afternoon, September 29, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Saginaw following a massive heart attack.
He was born April 11, 1946 in Detroit to the late Raymond and Dorothy (Gies) Baranski and came to Oliver Twp when he was a baby.
On February 4, 1967, he was united in marriage to Angeline Peruski at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sandusky and made their home in Oliver Twp.
By the time Dan was 16; he was holding a full time job, farming and milking cows. Dan worked at Kraft Tiling in Pigeon for many years, but enjoyed being on the farm. So he began working for Ron Gayari farming for a while and then started driving truck for Erla Foods, Cass City, retiring in 2011.
Dan enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, hunting rabbits (in his youth) and just visiting and talking farming with neighbors and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Angie; his son, Daniel (Phyllis) Baranski of Elkton and three grandchildren, Alexis, Ashley and Aaron.
A memorial service will be conducted 7:30 PM Wednesday, October 5, at Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton where friends may call from 4 until the time of services.
