Daniel Corradi

Daniel Corradi of Caro, age 62 years, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, October 31, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 28, 1950 in Caro, the son of the late Louis A. and Valeria Marie (Csutoras) Corradi. Dan was a 1969 graduate of Caro High School, and was united in marriage with the former Helen Burnham on December 2, 1972 in Caro. Following high school, Dan enlisted in the United States Navy, serving on a Destroyer Escort during the Viet Nam War. Soon after his return to Caro, he began employment with Continental Telephone and retired from CenturyTel after thirty-two years of service. Dan approached all of his endeavors with a passion whether it was his family, his church, his work, or his community. He was a husband, father, coach and for thirty-three years a member of the Caro Fire Department, retiring as Assistant Chief in 2010. Dan was a member of the First Baptist Church in Caro and the Tuscola County Conservation Club. He enjoyed shooting skeet, playing baseball, hunting, fishing, cooking, baking pies, and travel, especially cruises. He loved cheese puffs and ice cream. Dan is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Helen Corradi; two sons and their wives, Kurt & Kristina Corradi of Berkley, Kevin & Lindsay Corradi of Tallahassee, Florida; one grandson, Marino Corradi of Tallahassee, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis Corradi, Jr. and David Corradi. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2013 at the Caro First Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Wigand officiating. Burial will follow at the Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Caro Fire Department, First Baptist Church of Caro, or United Hospice.
