Daniel Francis Quinn, 68, lifelong Caseville resident, died Sunday, September 3, 2023, at home surrounded by family.
Dan was born February 12, 1955, in Pigeon to the late Robert Daniel and Mary Kathleen (Cherry) Quinn. He grew up in Caseville and graduated from Caseville High School in 1973. He attended Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan, from which he received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. After College, he worked as a Deputy for the Huron County Sheriff and Huron County Circuit Court as a Juvenile Officer/Referee until retiring in 2010.
Dan was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish and a member of the Caseville Eagles. He enjoyed boating and socializing, participating in community and family activities, coaching and watching local and family sports.
Dan is survived by his three children; daughter Katherine Lee (Jereme) Condon of Midland, his sons Shawn Patrick (Katie Jo) of Detroit and Kyle Christopher of Minneapolis, Minnesota; mother of his three children Rhonda; grandchildren Jenasys, Quinn and Kylin; his brother Mark (Karen) of Naperville, Illinois, adopted sons; Ryan Cavey, and James Shantry; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and significant other, Roxanne Errer.
Dan was preceded in death by his sister Mary Theresa “Teri” and brother Timothy John “T.J.”.
A Funeral Mass will be at 11:00am Friday, September 8 at St. Roch Catholic Church, Fr. George Amos presiding. Burial will be in St. Roch Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-8 Thursday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Pigeon as well as one hour prior to the mass on Friday at church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Huron County Community Foundation, Mary K. and Robert Quinn Memorial Scholarship.
