Daniel Jae Vandemark of Caro, age 62, passed away at his residence following a lingering illness on Friday, October 26, 2018. Dan was born December 2, 1955 in Caro, the son of Virgil and Betty (Curry) Vandemark. Daniel was a Caro High School graduate. He was the owner and operator of Vandemark's Tax Service, as well as the Vandemark Farm Market. For twenty-eight years he was the sexton at the Almer Township Cemetery in Caro. Some of Dan's fondest memories were of time spent on Mackinac Island with his family. Dan is survived by four sons, Tad Vandemark of Caro, Kyle Vandemark of California, Tyler & Aubrey Vandemark of Traverse City, Bryce Vandemark of Caro; two grandchildren, Madelynn Vandemark and Owen Vandemark; parents, Virgil & Betty Vandemark of Caro; siblings and their spouses, Terry & Mary Vandemark of Caro, Randy & Paula Vandemark of Lapeer, Lisa & Joe Durham of Albuquerque, New Mexico; as well as several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Dan's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the Caro Moose Lodge #1049 (1366 East Caro Road, Caro, MI) with Chris Taylor officiating.
