Danny Montague

Danny James Montague, age 60, of Vassar, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at his home. He was born on February 1, 1950 at the old Caro Community Hospital to the late William and Lillian (Bland) Montague. He was also involved in CB radio repair, installation, and sales. On July 31, 1971 Danny was united in marriage with Sheila Kukulski. He enjoyed being a lifelong resident of the area and was interested in the Montague family history in the founding of Caro. He enjoyed farming, raising cattle, camping, fishing, hunting, and the repair and restoration of old finds. Danny thoroughly enjoyed taking his family and going to the Casino. He is survived by his wife, Sheila; two daughters, Melissa and Dewayne Elledge of Vassar, Shelly and Mike Wilson of Caro; one grandchild, Rylan Wilson; his siblings, Ruby (Rudy) Fader of Caro and Richard Montague of Alger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Bradley Elledge; a brother, William Montague; and a sister, Sharon Johnson. In accordance with Dannys wishes, cremation will be followed by a graveside memorial service at North Grove Cemetery on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul McNett officiating. There will be no visitation at the Collon Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Danny Montague family discretionary fund, c/o Sheila Montague, 302 S. State St., Caro, MI 48723
