Daralene S. Knoll

Daralene S. Knoll of Caro, age 84, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw. Daralene was born on November 3, 1936 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late Glen & Clara (Pelz) Foltz. She attended Concordia Lutheran High School and Concordia Lutheran College in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Tarrant County Community College in Fort Worth, Texas. She was united in marriage with Alfred Knoll of Morland, Kansas, and he preceded her in death in 1986 after thirty years of marriage. Daralene loved her Lord, family and life. She studied to be a teacher and met the love of her life while attending college in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They traveled together and raised four children. She worked for Rochester School System, Vought and MotoMedic before she retired. Daralene remained active in the church choir and handbells until 2019 and into 2020. She loved old movies and classical music. Many times you would find her watching old Turner classics or listening to opera while driving. Daaralene taught her children how to stand strong and hard in their beliefs. She will be remembered and greatly missed. Daralene is finally home. She is survived by four children and their spouses, Brenda K. & David Nelder of Oxford, Aprile L. & Jimmy Greene of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kevin F. & Darlene Knoll of Cheboygan, Karen M. & Russell Kleinhans of Phoenix, Arizona; nine grandchildren, David, Chet, Erica, Jessica, Daniel, Trescha, Alexander, Amanda and Rachel; twenty-two great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Monica, Grace, Xavier, Alexis, Samantha, Natasha, Patrick, Josie, Timothy, Ayden, Samuel, Graylyn, Katie, Blake, Matthew, Cyrus, Christian, Annabelle, Megan, Luke and Connor; one great-great-grandchild, Nova; and two brothers, Richard Foltz of Leesville, Louisiana and Gerald & Janice Foltz of SanDiego, California. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Brandy; one great-granddaughter, Catherine; one brother, Gilbert Foltz; and one sister-in-law, Gloria Foltz. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro with Rev. Cameron Steele officiating.
