Darlene Mae Haist

Darlene Mae Haist, age 93, of Sebewaing, passed away December 30, 2024 at the Tuscola Medical Care Center in Caro.

Darlene was born in Sebewaing Township on October 1, 1931, to Aaron and Helen (Reuger) Holland. After graduating from Sebewaing High School, she married Gerald Haist on October 7, 1954 in Indiana. Together they had one son, Todd. They were members of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing, enjoyed traveling when Todd was younger, bowling in her younger years, going on casino trips, watching the Detroit Tigers and planting and caring for her flowers at her home.

Darlene is survived by her son, Todd of Sebewaing and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerald on July 16, 2006, and by all her siblings.

The visitation and funeral service will be Monday, January 6, 2025 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home, Inc. in Sebewaing from 10am until the time of service at 12pm. Pastor Michael Boyer will be officiating. The burial will be private in the church cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
