Darrell A. Rievert

Darrell A. Rievert, age 78, of Sebewaing, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Scheurer Long Term Care in Pigeon.

Darrell was born May 29, 1939, in Sebewaing Township, to Elmer and Frieda (Nimtz) Rievert. He married Sally Herman on November 5, 1960 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was employed at Osentoski Equipment in Pigeon, as a sales manager for 31 years, retiring, in 1999. He was life member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing where he was an elder and president and was also instrumental in the addition of the great room at the church. Darrell was a member of the USA Athletic Boosters, United Way and the Jaycees, where he was responsible for door to door mailbox delivery.  He was very proud of being a part of the lighting for the South Park Ball Diamond. He enjoyed deer hunting with his boys, spending time up north, farming, and gardening and loved spending time and spoiling his grandchildren.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Sally; Children; Todd (Marci) Rievert, Kevin (Jamie) Rievert, Brian (Denise) Rievert, Carmen (Duane) Dressler and Kristi (Lee) Eimers; grandchildren: Drew, Chase, Ben, Brad, Michael, Sarah Rievert, Nicole, Jessica Dressler and Allison Eimers. Sister, Janet (Dale) Ewald.

Darrell is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Frieda Rievert.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.

A funeral service is planned for Monday, February  26, 2018, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Pastor Michael Boyer will be officiating.

Memorial donations may be given to, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Christ the King Lutheran School and American Heart Association.
