Darrold Wayne Lipe

Darrold Wayne Lipe of Caro, age 83, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 6, 2025 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Darrold was born in Pontiac to Brook and Dorothy (Hudson) Lipe on March 13, 1942. He met the love of his life, Sandra, at the young age of fifteen. They celebrated sixty-three years of marriage together and had three beautiful children. Darrold loved puttering around in his shed and had a love of motorcycles, gardening, and was an amazing cook.

Darrold is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Faye (Beebe) Lipe of Caro; two sons and their wives, Darrold & Dawn Lipe and Jeff & Dawn Lipe, both of Caro; his grandchildren, Jamie & Greg Hormel of Kingston, Eric Creason of Caro, Courtney & Emilio Blanco of Georgia, Hope Lipe of Caro, and Cory Lipe of Caro; and one brother, Ted Powell. Darrold also had the joy of becoming a “Great Papa” to Keagen, Payton, Addison, Brant, Kylie, Willow, Zhalia, and Asher; “Great-Great-Papa” to Bryce, Grayson, and Colton; and will be missed by many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brook & Dorothy Lipe; step-dad, Theodore Powell; two brothers, Jerry and Bob Lipe; a daughter, Roxann Smith; and grandson, Jason Stein.
