Daryl Scott Bartz

Daryl Bartz of Deford, formerly of Kingston, age 62, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at his home with his wife by his side. Daryl was Born June 18, 1959 in Hazel Park, the son of the late Herbert and Jean (Stone) Bartz. Daryl married the former Sandra Potter on June 7, 1986 in Sterling Heights. They shared a wonderful thirty-nine years together. Daryl enjoyed watching car races as well as wrenching on them and spending time with family. His greatest joy was being a grandfather. Daryl will be remembered by his infectious laugh and genuine heart. Daryl is survived by five children, Shannon (Justin) Dooley of Deford, Jennifer (Richard) Martin of Vassar, Scott (Titian) Bartz of Kingston, Jesse (Tina) Bartz of Lincoln Mi. and Jeffrey (Nicki) Bartz of Mikado; fourteen grandchildren, Hannah, Zachary, Chloe, Cayson, Colter, Evan, Noah, Chase, Max, Jaden, Julia, Brooke, Lona, and Ryan; and three siblings, four siblings, Michael Bartz, Bernice Eglinton and Beatrice Cedar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Lorraine Mueller, Thomas Bartz, Elizabeth “Dolly” Carpenter, Phyllis Matuszak; and youngest daughter, Erica Bartz. A celebration of life is being planned for June 18, 2022. Additional information will be given prior to the event.
