David A. Berry

David A. Berry, Sr. age 81, of Prescott, formerly of Caro, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at McLaren Bay Region. David was born in Caro on January 8, 1941, the son of the late Donald A. and Pauline (Safford) Berry. He graduated from Caro High School, class of 1959 and went on to answer the call of his country, serving in the U.S. Air Force. While in the Air Force stationed in Maine, David met the love of his life, the former Janet Muldoon. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on November 11, 1961. Together they shared forty wonderful years, four wonderful children, and countless memories traveling all over the U.S. Sadly, Janet passed away in 2001. David worked for IBM as a customer service engineer for over 30 years, retiring in 1996. He was a volunteer fireman and a constable. David belonged to the Caro Moose Lodge, American Legion, and the Eagles. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, traveling, especially to Maine, and wintered in North Carolina. Above all, David loved his family and will be missed dearly. David leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Jackie (Kieran) Quinn, David (Penny) Berry, Jr., Thomas (Marvy) Berry, and Donald (Dina) Berry; grandchildren, Chad (Kelli) Wingert, Jessica (Joe) Franz, Nick Berry, Natasha (Barry) Krueger, Brant Berry, Preston Berry, Thomas Berry, Jr., Davi'celo Berry, Jan'eva Berry, Amanda Dasho, Justin Oudman, Chelsea Berry, and Sidney Berry; sixteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Clinton Berry, Linda (Tim) Kempf, Paula Sue (David) Lagos, Donna (Karl) Witkovsky; special friend, Peggy Hyatt; many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his wife and parents, David was welcomed home to heaven by his brother, Robert Berry. A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. Rev. Kelly Ball will officiate with the interment to follow at Indianfields Township Cemetery with Military Honors. David's family will be present to receive visitors on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 12:00 p.m. Ceremony.
