David Charles Borso

David C. Borso, 80, of Caseville, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 at McLaren Port Huron Hospital.

David was born May 2, 1943 in Detroit to the late Joseph and Irene (Cherest) Borso.  He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He retired in 2006 after 40 years employment with General Motors in Romulus.  He enjoyed fishing, tinkering, gardening, garage sales, thrift shops and going to the Dollar General for candy.  He was a social person and could often be found riding his golf cart around Caseville, no one was a stranger to Dave.  He loved his dogs Lusie, Sparkle, Daisy, Maria, Jasmine and Sofia and his parrot Max.

David is survived by his wife Kathleen; children David J. (Rhonda) of Byron, Amber Nothnagel of Farwell, Rebecca Williams of Lincoln Park, Hannah Gamburd of Caseville and Eddie Kidder of Gregory; grandchildren Kevin Gamburd, Colton Gamburd, Kaila Love, David R. Borso, Lindsay Borso, Rachel (Will) Schindorf, Donald (Bethany) Nothnagel, John Cecil, and Jon Gamburd; great-grandchildren Tyler Schindorf, Cody Schindorf, Lianna Nothnagel, Lacey Nothnagel, and Logan Kujat; brothers Kenneth, Dean (Kathleen), and Joseph (Crystal).  He was preceded in death by sons Jon and Kevin Gamburd and granddaughter Autumn Gamburd.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the services.
