David "Rick" Richard Dooley

David "Rick" Richard Dooley of Caro, age 68, passed away on March 24, 2023 at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw. Rick was born February 11, 1955 in Detroit, the son of the late David and Fay (Nykanen) Dooley. Rick attended high school and went on to be a truck driver. Driving truck was Rick's passion, he worked in the gravel and asphalt industry for over forty years, retiring in 2020. In 1990, Rick happened to ask the former Khristina Koehler to dance. After a couple "no's" Khristina finally agreed, and they soon fell in love. Rick and Khristina were united in marriage on April 9, 1996. Together they shared almost twenty-seven years of marriage and countless memories and laughs. Throughout life, Rick loved to fish, hunt, bowl, and sing karaoke. He even tried his hand at gardening, but was finding these past few years it wasn't for him. Rick was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Rick leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Khristina; children, Jennifer (Eric) Green, Justin (Julie) Dooley, Nick (Jessica) Dooley, and Kassandra Montgomery; grandchildren, Christopher Stokes, Jackson and Connor Dooley, Ada and Elias Trompeter, and Miles Dooley; great-granddaughter, Olivia Rose Stokes; siblings, Marsha, Scott, Randy, and Rodney; several nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his sister, Janice. In keeping with Rick's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Wells Township Hall, 2190 Frankford Rd, Caro.
