David Lee Jacot

David Lee Jacot of Caro, age 56, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020. Dave was born December 27, 1963 in Grand Haven, the son of the late Theron & Doris Ida Mae (Ketner) Jacot. He was raised in Caro and graduated from Caro High School. Dave was employed with the Hydaker Wheatlake company and was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 17. Dave introduced his sons to the world of racing at a young age, something he had done in his younger years as well. When racing season was over, there was always reflection and conversation on the previous season. Dave was a proud father. Racing wasn't just a hobby, it was making memories with family and friends, and making new friends along the way. He had a great sense of humor and loved joking around with people. Dave was always the funny guy who never let the small things in life stress or consume him. He was a selfless man who loved his family, and would do anything for anybody. In addition to racing, and spending time with his family, Dave enjoyed fishing, listening to music, working around the yard, and taking time out to go on vacation each year. Left to cherish his memory, are his wife of twenty-three years, Wendy Jacot of Caro; their two sons, Matthew and Steven; aunt and uncle, Rachel & Richard Bos; sisters- and brother-in-law, Rebecca Brown, Veronica & Bruce Bridson; nieces, Samantha & Adam Block, Allison & Craig Brownfield II. In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Colwood Church in Caro with Rev. Randy Carpenter officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy are may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Jacot Family Discretionary Fund, c/o Wendy Jacot, 205 W.
