David Lawrence Koch

David Lawrence Koch of Caro, age 74, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Beaumont Hospital - Royal Oak. Dave was born November 20, 1947 in Cass City, the son of the late Stanley and Gladys (McLellan) Koch. Dave graduated Akron-Fairgrove High School and went on to retire from Saginaw Steering Gear/Delphi in 2005. After retirement, he went to work at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community for ten years. On December 11, 1965, Dave married the love of his life, the former Geraldine Cram. Together they shared almost fifty-five years, two wonderful children, and countless memories. Sadly, Geraldine passed away on April 2, 2020. Dave loved to make everyone happy and had an infectious smile. He always enjoyed socializing & having an ice cold beer. Above all else, Dave's family and friends meant the world to him. Dave leaves to cherish his memory his children, Lisa (Tim) Robison and Mitchell (Stacy) Koch; grandchildren, Morgin (Brandon) Williams, Meggin (Mike) Hurtado, Cole Koch, Samuel Koch, and Carly Koch; great-grandchildren, Isaiah & Naomi Williams; sister, Diane (Cal) Black; sister-in-law, Beverly Koch; several nieces & nephews; and many, MANY, friends! In addition to his wife and parents, Dave was preceded in death by his brother, Stanley Koch II. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. Rev. Michele Hile will be officiating and burial will take place at Brookside Cemetery in Fairgrove. The family will be present to receive visitors on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
