David Neahusan

David Neahusan of Caro, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Covenant Health Care - Harrison in Saginaw following a courageous battle with cancer. Dave was born May 21, 1946 in Ypsilanti, the son of the late Michael & Janice (Shurtz) Neahusan. He was drafted to the U.S. Army in 1967 and served in Viet Nam until his honorable discharge in 1969. Upon his return, he began a twenty-five-year career as an over the road truck driver. He was a man that could fix virtually anything, and he was happiest tinkering in his garage. Never one to sit for long, Dave spent his retirement as a backyard mechanic and taking on construction and drywalling jobs. He will be remembered for his limitless ability to help anyone in need. Left to cherish Dave's memory are his wife and queen, Hazel Neahusan; two sons, David Neahusan, Charles Neahusan and his wife, Jennifer; two step-children that he loved as his own, Charles Yates, Tonya Carter and her husband, Matthew; seven grandchildren with another expected in August; four siblings, Dorothy, Danny, Don, and Darlene; many nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, Rosebud. In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his brother, Doug. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with military honors following under the auspices of the U.S. Army and Caro American Legion Post #7. Burial will follow later in the day at the East Dayton Cemetery in Caro.
