David R. Popp

David R. Popp of Caro, age 69, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Medilodge of Cass City. David was born February 7, 1954 in Caro, the son of the late Peter and Mildred (Ekstrom) Popp. David was a self-employed jack-of-all-trades handyman working in many aspects of construction. He loved music (louder than most), fishing, joking, children, dogs, having conversations with everyone, and travel, especially to Guam.

Dave is survived by one son, David T.L. Popp of Guam; one daughter, Amanda Noguer and husband, Raul of Florida; one sister, Donna Rocheleau of Caro; three brothers, Al Popp of Mayville, Peter Popp and wife, SueAnn, of Indian River, Darrell Popp and wife, Sue, of Caro; many nieces and nephews; and his Guam family.

In keeping with David’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at 2915 O’Brien Road, Mayville, MI 48744. A prayer service will be held at 4:00 p.m., with a meal to follow. A second Celebration of Life will be held in Guam in August, where Dave’s cremated remains will be laid to rest.
