David,
It’s so hard to say goodbye to you! You were my rock, my friend, my sounding board, my Eeyore, my healer, and my love. You came into our lives twenty-four years ago and we were never the same. You shared your sense of humor, honesty, sarcasm, music, and the desire to keep active and keep your mind sharp. My family became our family, and you loved them all. You made a lot of friends in the community, at work, and on the golf course.
You remained close to your sister, Jennifer, and nieces. I’m sorry you were never able to reconnect with your daughters, Leah and Dana. I know you loved them; we heard stories. They missed knowing how great you were. My four sons benefited. I know you loved them and their families. You always looked forward to spending time with them and the grandkids. You were famous for saying: “Who am I!” “Your parents are taking you to military school.” “That’s just bad parenting!” Always in your loving, half serious way.
I’m going to miss you – we’re all going to miss you.
We love you,
Janice, Tyler, Carrie, Mason, Brandon, Casey, Riky, Lennon, Drew, Jack, Mitchell, Jessica, Neil, and especially his dog he loved so much, Ollie, who brought him home on their last walk together.
