David Crawford Stewart

David Crawford Stewart, age 77, of Caseville, died June 28, 2014 at Huron Medical Center in Colfax Township.

David was born November 8, 1936 in Dearborn to the late Andrew and Sara (Crawford) Stewart. He graduated from Dearborn High School in 1954. On February 16, 1963 he married Sally Trego at the Dearborn E.U.B. Church. She preceded him in death on November 1, 2012.

Together with his wife, they settled in Dearborn and raised their family there. He worked at Ford Motor Company for 37 years, and was an active member and past-President of the Dearborn Kiwanis Club. In 1998 Dave and Sally moved to Caseville, and Dave remained active with Kiwanis and by supporting Sally's work with the local Chamber of Commerce.

He is survived by his children, Gregory (Cathy) of Clarkston, Laura Stewart (Monica Foust) of New York City, Mark (Mia) of Dearborn and Amy Stewart (Troy Detrick) of Los Altos, California; grandchildren Andrew, Sophia, Andrei, Abby, Katie, Logan and Zoe; and by his sister Ruth Sample of Dearborn.

A memorial service will be at noon on Tuesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with Rev. Linda Fuller officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 am until the time of the service.
Memorials may be made to the Caseville Kiwanis scholarship fund in his memory.
