Caseville

David John Watts, 59, of Caseville, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 in La Mesa, California.

David was born March 2, 1965 in Warren, Michigan to Robert Williams and Janet Dereadt.  He lived his early years in Warren moving to Caseville in the 3rd grade.  In 1983 he graduated from Caseville High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Albion College and law degree from Notre Dame Law School.

David was an active member in the Caseville community.  He served on the Caseville School Board of Education and coached girl's varsity volleyball for many years, winning numerous championships.  David supported and helped spearhead the Cheeseburger Festival in Caseville. His hobbies included playing and watching tennis.  He enjoyed music, especially Cher and Madonna, reading and learning, wearing the color pink and flamingos.  He was fascinated by history, especially World War II.  David loved to travel and enjoyed southern Spain most of all. He also enjoyed visiting Las Vegas and San Diego, both of which he considered his home away from home.

Probably the most important thing about David is his love for his family and friends.  His joy, love and laughter are well known by those who have met him.  He cared deeply for the people in the community and Michigan.
