Dawn Morton

Dawn Morton, age 42, of Pigeon, formerly of Caro, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2009 at her residence. Dawn was born on April 17, 1966 in Cass City. She lived much of her life in the Thumb with the exception of a period of time in Midland. She was a high school graduate. In addition to being a mother and homemaker, she worked as a high-low operator at Huron Casting in Pigeon. Dawn was a member of the Women of the Moose and thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren, work, and of course, Bingo. She is survived by a son, James Jackson and Heidi Davis of Fostoria; a daughter, Samantha Jackson and Jeff Martin of Pigeon; five grandchildren, Rylee, Rian, Reece, Nicole and Merik; her mother, Bonnie Lee Morton and James Spencer of Caro; her siblings, Bonita Weihl of Caro, Jessie Weihl and Julie of Michigan, Jodi (Randle) Mills of Paragould, Arkansas, and Julie; her significant other, Ronald Novak of Pigeon; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Don Cleaver officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Dawn Morton family discretionary fund, c/o Samantha Jackson.
