Dean Lee Clinesmith

Dean Lee Clinesmith of Silverwood, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at his home. He was born December 12, 1953 in Cass City, the son of the late Cecil and Elaine (Kratz) Clinesmith. Dean graduated from Kingston High School and went on to work at Grady’s and later B-Dry System for over twenty-five years. He enjoyed excavating and helping the neighbors. Dean loved to be outside and time spent with his grandchildren. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing ball with his son, Damian. Dean was happiest when he was able to help others and be with his family.

Dean leaves to cherish his memory his children, Damian Clinesmith (Deb Rulason), Erin Knox, and Leon Kratz; his significant other and best friend of over thirty-five years, Janet Kratz; his beloved grandchildren, Jordan Michael Clinesmith, Micheal Knox, and McKenzie Kratz; nephew, Jason (Shannon) Clinesmith; two great-nephews and one great-niece. In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by his brother, Devere (Becky) Clinesmith; son, Joshua Kratz; nephew, Curtis Clinesmith.

In keeping with Dean’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
