Debra D. Bechler, 59, of Pigeon, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mt. Clemens.
Deb was born July 22 1962 in Perryton, Texas to Jerry and Jane (Stutzman) Lile. She grew up in Texas and attended Heston College in Heston, Kansas where she met William Bechler of Pigeon. They were married April 2, 1983 in Perryton, Texas. They lived in Guymon, Oklahoma before returning to Michigan in 1997.
Deb worked in administrative positions in the automotive industry and with her husband owned an automotive repair business and concessions. She was a member of Pigeon River Mennonite Church. Deb enjoyed cross-stitch, watching sports and spending time at the cottage and with her grandchildren.
Deb is survived by her husband Bill; parents Jerry and Jane Lile of Ohio; children Danielle (Nathan) Messing of Owendale, Mischelle (Zach) Payne of Frankenmuth, and Kendall (Morgan) of Caseville; grandchildren McKayla, MaRiyha, Shayla, Jared, Zander, Zane, Easton, and Lexi; siblings Jerry Dean (Janette) Lile of Pennsylvania, Jolene (Ray) Miller of Ohio, and Stephen (Joyce) Lile of Texas; father-in-law and mother-in-law Clare and Donna Bechler of Pigeon; brother-in-law Kurt (Pam) Bechler of Bad Axe and sister-in-law Sherry Bechler of Dundee; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Kevin Bechler.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, March 5th at Pigeon River Mennonite Church with Rev. Dave Maurer officiating. Deb requests attendees at her funeral wear sports attire (any team or sport) or casual clothing. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 Friday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel.
Memorials may be made to Pigeon River Mennonite Church or Bluewater Youth for Christ.
