Debra Joyce Praschan of Caro, age 68, passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Debbie was born May 13, 1956 in Royal Oak, the daughter of Betty (Wilson) Isbell and the late Bob Isbell. Debbie attended Milford High School where she graduated with the class of 1974, and went on to continue her education at Oakland Community College where she earned an associate’s degree. On April 3, 1976, she married the love of her life, Eugene Praschan, at Milford Assembly of God. Together, the couple raised three children and built a life filled with love, faith, and nearly forty-nine wonderful years of marriage.
Animals were a constant source of joy for Debbie, and she poured her heart into caring for them daily. Among her many beloved pets over the years, her cherished camel, Hummer, held a special place in her heart, bringing her endless delight and companionship. Music and drama were also lifelong passions, shaping her life for over five decades. A devoted woman of faith, Debbie was an active member of Caro Assembly of God, where she enjoyed worshipping through song. Above all, her greatest love was for her family, cherishing every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.
Debbie is survived by her husband of nearly forty-nine years, Eugene Praschan; three children, Ken Praschan, Kelly Cook, and Mark & Leah Praschan; four grandchildren, Adam (Rebekah), Julie, Annie, and Emily Cook; mother, Betty Isbell; and four siblings and their spouses, Rob & Helen Isbell, Patricia Isbell, Sue & Dale Bradford, and Mike Isbell & Natocha Taylor. In addition to her father, Debra was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Isbell.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at the Caro Assembly of God with Rev. Dave Dietzel officiating. Burial will follow at Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro. Debbie’s family will be present to receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at noon. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of the family, c/o Eugene Praschan at 205 West Sherman Street, Caro, MI 48723.
