Delores Ann Buschlen

Delores “Ann” Buschlen, 81, of Elkton, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Covenant Cooper Medical Center in Saginaw after a brief illness with her family by her side.

She was born at home July 24, 1939 in Lake Twp to the late John and Hazel (Santhany) McCormick. She grew up in Lake Twp and in 1957 graduated from Elkton High School. She married Calvin Buschlen December 1, 1961 in Bay Port; he preceded her in death June 10, 2019. They made their home and raised their family in Elkton. Delores retired from Scheurer Hospital where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Delores was a former member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Pigeon. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, puzzles and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her son Robert Sr. of Macomb; grandchildren Erica (Ross) Nolan of Swartz Creek and Robert Jr. of Albuquerque; great-grandson Harper and great-granddaughter Adelaide Ann; sister Margaret Kekovich of Caseville; sisters-in-law Shirley Zinnecker of Cass City and Vivian Buschlen of Pigeon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Barbara, son Boyd, brothers Edward and Robert, and sister Helen Witherspoon.

Cremation has taken place. Per Delores’ wishes, there will be no services. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the services.
