Delores Mae Jashinske, age 66 years, of Caro, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2006 at St. Marys of Michigan in Saginaw. She was born on July 16, 1940 in Caro to the late Reed Blanche (Wright) Baker. The former Delores Baker married James Jashinske on June 7, 1969 in Akron. She was a 1958 graduate of Caro High School. She had been employed as a supervisor at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, and had also worked for several years as a Victims Advocate volunteer for the Tuscola County Sheriffs Office. She also served as the secretary of the Oakridge Condo Association. Delores was a member of the Mormon faith. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Delores also enjoyed crossword puzzles and traveling on family vacations. She is survived by her husband, James Jashinske; one son, one daughter and their spouses, Mitchael (Maryann) Jashinske of Acworth, Georgia, and Jennifer (Gabriel) Savage of Daggett, Michigan; two grandchildren, Connor, age 6, and Devyn, age 6; two brothers, Donald (Phyllis) Baker of Panama City, Florida, and Clarence (Debra) Baker of Caro; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Alvin Baker. A memorial service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Friday, December 29, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Phil Whipple, Colwood United Brethren in Christ Church, officiating. Burial will be at Indianfields Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation, the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, or the charity of the donors choice.
