Delores I. Ross age 76 of Lake Twp. near Caseville died early Friday morning, May 4, at the home of her daughter in Lennon while under hospice care.
She was born April 7, 1936, in Flint and grew up there with her parents, the late Frank and Olive (Gardner) Atwood.
While at a church camp she met Royal M. Ross, who was working in the Flint area at the time. They married September 28, 1957 at the Hamilton Ave. Community in Christ Church, Flint and moved to Huron County a short time later.
Delores raised her children and worked part time. She was known as the Avon lady in the Caseville area. She was a lifelong member of the Owendale Community in Christ Church. Delores enjoyed shopping, doing bead work, painting figurines and playing card games. She enjoyed meeting new people and making them feel like family. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her husband, Royal; three children, Phillip Ross of Kansas City, MO, Denise (Tracy) Ball of Lennon, MI, and David Ross of Venice, FL and three grandchildren, Bobby, Justin and Marlisa.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Elizabeth Himes.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 8, at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton where friends may call from 4 to 8 Sunday, 2 to 8 Monday and after 10 AM Tuesday.
Memorials may be given to the Owendale Community in Christ Church
