Dennis "Denny" John Demo, age 76, of Unionville, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017, at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City.
Dennis was born March 16, 1941, to Clayton and Ruth (Sellers) Demo. After graduating high school, he attended 2 years of college, stating at Central Michigan then transferring to Ferris State. He married Mary Ann Goebel July 22, 1967, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. He volunteered for the US National Guard. He retired as a mechanic for General Motors and was the former partner for J & D Sales (Dodge Dealer and GMC Truck). Dennis enjoyed bird watching, gardening, playing with his grandchildren and was a huge USA sports fan.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Mary; children: David J. (Maida) Demo of Davison and Heather A. (Mike) Beach of Sebewaing; sister, Anita (Larry) Holdwick of Sebewaing; grandchildren: Zachary Beach and Evan Demo; sister-in-law, Barb (Tim) Monroe; brother-in-law, Bill Goebel; and nieces and nephews: Butch Goebel, Dawn Markle, Kristee Schlaud, Don Demo, Kelly Williams, Karen Nowosatko, Ted Monroe and Jesse Brodbeck.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald (Mary Jane) Demo.
Per Dennis's wishes, cremation has taken place.
Visitation will take place on Friday, July 14, 2017, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.
The funeral service will be on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Unionville. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.
Memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association or the USA Athletic Club.
