Dennis Ronald Hoppe, Sr.

Dennis R. Hoppe, Sr. , age 75, of Unionville, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022.

Dennis was born in Sebewaing on July 24, 1946, to Alfred and Amanda (Koch) Hoppe. After graduating from Sebewaing High School in 1964, he joined the United States Navy, serving in Vietnam. He married Helen Lincoln on May 26, 1982. They raised 7 children together. Dennis retired after 30 years from General Motors. After retirement, Dennis enjoyed spending his days woodworking. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Helen; daughters: Sally, Kathy, Janet and Peggy; Sons: Dennis Jr. and Alfred; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers: Howard and Gary; 4 sisters: Geri, Jane, Peggy and Joyce; and many nieces and nephews.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Amanda; son, John; and brothers: Loren, Carl and Murl.

A memorial service will be held on January 15, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
