Dennis W. King, age 65 years, of Caro passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Alta E. Lutz Veterans Medical Center in Saginaw. He was born on December 4, 1942 in Wayne, Michigan to the late William and Vivian (Pattenaude) King. Dennis was a Vietnam veteran serving from 1967-1968. He returned to Wayne County and came to the Caro area in the mid 1980s. Until he was injured, Dennis was a carpenter and carpet layer. He belonged to the Bay City Eagles, the Caro V.F.W. Post #4164, D.A.V of Sandusky, and the Polish Legion of American Veterans (Tuscola County Polish American Club). He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Bryan) Idzior of Rockwood; three granddaughters, Nicole, Chelsea and Bryanna; his siblings, Bruce (Rosemary) King of Caro, Maxine Dennis of Akron, Jan (Carmen) King of Caro; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judith Utley. A memorial service will be held at the Caro V.F.W. Post #4164 on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Post Chaplain Henry Sugden officiating. There will be no visitation at the Collon Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Caro V.F.W. Post #4164.
