Dennis Larkin

Dennis Larkin, age 52, of Mc Comb, Mississippi, formerly of Michigan, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 30, 2008. He was born on February 29, 1956 in Grosse Point Farms. He attended school in Detroit and was in the U.S. Navy for over nine years, spending much of that time overseas. Upon his return, he lived in Macomb County prior to moving to Mississippi. He was a machinist and worked in the automotive industry. Dennis was a member of the Catholic faith and enjoyed cooking as well as NASCAR. He is survived by his mother, Sally Gibor of Cass City; his step-father, Duane McCarthy of Copemish; his daughter, Melanie (Adam) Mumma of Maryland; a grandson, Rezin Mumma of Maryland; his siblings, Aaron (Brenda) Larkin of Caro, Julie (George) Holmes of Cass City, Rick (Emilie) McCarthy of Caro, Brian (Nancy) McCarthy and Marjie (Louie) Cornell of McComb, Mississippi; his former wife, Debbie Larkin of Memphis, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pearl and George Gibor and his father, Joseph P. Larkin. A memorial service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Kucharczyk of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro officiating. Military honors will follow under the auspices of Caro V.F.W. Post #4164. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
