Dennis Zimmerman

Dennis Wayne Zimmerman, age 60, of Unionville passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at his home. He was born on May 2, 1950 in Detroit to the late Nicholas and Alma (Schroeder) Zimmerman. The Zimmerman family moved to Tuscola County when Dennis was a child and he lived in the thumb for the remainder of his life. He was a self-employed carpenter. Dennis was a member of the Caro Eagles Aerie #3587, and enjoyed fishing and playing pool. He spent much of his time with his family and enjoyed entertaining and cooking for them and being entertained by them. He is survived by three children, Dustin (Alissa) Zimmerman of Unionville, Airel (Ryan) Ziegler of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Kail Zimmerman of Unionville; three grandchildren, Esperanza, Patience and Thomas; a sister Alma (Lloyd) Davis of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Sherrie Lynn Ford; and the remainder of his siblings, William, Joyce Little, Arthur, Al, Ron Mouton and Nichola Huizar. The memorial service will be held at the Caro Eagles Aerie #3587 on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. In keeping with Dennis wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Caro Eagles on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Dennis Zimmerman family discretionary fund, c/o Dustin Zimmerman, 302 S.
