Derek Andrew Guster

Derek A. Guster, 53, of Caseville, died Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon after a five year illness.

Derek was born November 30, 1966 in Saginaw. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw in 1984. He served in the US Army Reserve for 6 years. He worked as a chemical operator at Dow Chemical in Midland for 24 years. He loved Rock and Roll, and his favorite band was KISS.

He is survived by his wife Jackie; children Brandi (Ryan) Carlisle of Saginaw and Jacob Graham of Saginaw; stepchildren Jennifer Bayn of Cadillac, Christina (Tim) O’Dell of Birch Run and Trisha Bayn of Saginaw; 9 grandchildren; father Steve (Linda) Guster of Bay City; mother Debora Bryant of North Carolina; sisters Gretchen Guster of Texas and Kelly Shumaker of Florida; and half brothers Phillip (Brynn) Guster of Novi and Cecil Burns of Marlette.

There will be a private grave side service at Caseville Twp Cemetery on Monday, April 27th. There will a public memorial service announced at a later date. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
