Diana Lynn Hill

Diana Lynn Hill of Caro, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at her home. She was born June 22, 1957 in Caro, the daughter of the late, Warren and Goldie (Boughan) Langworthy. Diana attended Caro High School, where her love for nature began to blossom; joining the Youth Conservation Corps, an experience she treasured deeply and often recalled as the source of some of her best stories and fondest memories. She received her associate’s degree from Kirkland Community College and worked at Gary Crews Law Office for over thirty years before semi-retiring in 2022. Prior to that, she worked at Bob Betts’ and Dave Meyers’ law offices. But before the legal world ever knew her, Diana spent three formative years working on a ranch in Bozeman, Montana; a time that solidified her connection to animals and the land.

The outdoors were Diana’s sanctuary. Camping in Montana and Hartwick Pines were some of her favorite memories. She raised horses, dairy cows, and chickens with pride, gardened, and loved to read and craft. Diana’s family often referred to her as a “walking encyclopedia,” because she truly seemed to know a little about everything — and a lot about nature. Diana’s greatest joy came from her family. She was a proud and loving grandmother who never missed a chance to teach, support, or simply be there when needed. Her spirit was a unique blend of stubbornness and deep empathy, always giving, always grounded, and always ready with a listening ear or helping hand.

Diana leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Gabriel Rowinski and Lydia Magiera (Nathan Dicks); stepchildren, Patrick Hill and Brittany Thompson; grandchildren, Morgan Dicks, Tessa and Blake Hill, Abygail and Adelynn Thompson; siblings, Karen Markel and Goldie Jean Langworthy; nephews, Jeff Nostrant and Dirk Langworthy; and many, many friends. In addition to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by her loving husband of thirteen years, Timothy Hill on April 16, 2023; brother, Gregory Langworthy and niece, Angie Nostrant.

Diana’s Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. The family will be present to receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, July 18, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of her service.
