Diana Kay Woodruff

Diana Kay Woodruff of Caro, age 67, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer. Diana was born December 12, 1948, the daughter of Shirley May (Green, Nash) Keezer and the late Edwin Wilbur Nash. She was united in marriage with Delbert Woodruff Sr. on August 26, 1967 in Flint and the couple celebrated thirty-eight years of marriage before his death on July 22, 2006. She was employed with the Walbro Corporation in Caro for many years before leaving in 1981 to care for her family. Diana collected treasures her entire life, from baseball cards, Hot Wheels Cars, Avon, Wade Figurines, and especially antiques. Most recently, she used her passion for collectables to open "Our Treasures Antique Mall" in downtown Caro. She was an active member of the Women's Life Chapter 879 in Caro to help local families affected by cancer. Her spare time was spent with family, driving race cars, camping and fishing. Diana is survived by five children and their spouses, Edwin & Emma Woodruff of South Branch, Delbert Eugene Woodruff Jr. of Caro, Brian Woodruff of St. Helen, Angela & Robert Russell of Caro, Chance Woodruff and his fianc Sasha Soldan of Caro; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her mother, Shirley Keezer of Caro; one sister, Phyllis Green; two brothers, Nolan Nash and Charles & Linda Keezer; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her father and husband, Diana was preceded in death by an infant son, Adam; four sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Pastor Michael Wester officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro.
